I am scared.
I’m scared, but I’m thankful.
I am so thankful for the medical professionals who are out there on the frontlines fighting this virus. I am thankful for their strength and bravery. And, I am thankful for their family members who are fearful for their loved one, but who selflessly share them with those in need. We couldn’t do this without you.
I am appreciative for the teachers. I know they are working harder than ever to help give some normalcy and education to their students during this unprecedented time. You deserve so much more credit than you get.
I am grateful for the workers who are still showing up to the grocery stores and pharmacies every day so that we can have access to what we need, even though they want to hunker down with their families, too. I see you all.
I am moved by little gestures of kindness and generosity that are happening everywhere. From people who are able offering help to those who can’t help themselves, to unexpected packages of toilet paper showing up on doorsteps without a note. This makes my heart happy during a dark time. Humanity is really beautiful sometimes.
I am scared. Maybe you are, too.
But here’s the thing. There is still a lot to be thankful for in the midst of this chaos.
We still have each other. We will help each other through this.
Sending love to you all.
