I am the parent of a child with disabilities.
But more importantly, I am the PARENT of a CHILD.
I am a parent just like you.
A parent who wants the best for their child, who will fight for them, who loves them unconditionally – to the moon and back.
One who wants their child to be happy and healthy. To have friends and love school. To find their place in this world that is perfect for them.
My child is just like your child.
A child who loves ice cream and pizza and climbing on the playground. One who is sweet and joyful at times, and who likes to test boundaries at others.
One who wants to laugh. To play. To be accepted.
I know on paper we may seem to be on very different journeys, but please remember we are all so much the same.
